Established in 2008, activ Digital Marketing is a full-service marketing agency offering both direct clients the opportunity to be seen online and budding entrepreneurs the opportunity to franchise their own marketing agency.
In 2021, activ vowed to support two local charities each year with a brand new website, entirely free of charge. Managing director at activ Marketing Group, Katie Bullon says it’s a way to support charities on their mission to be seen in a competitive space:
“We’re extremely fortunate to be running a successful marketing business that supports businesses of all sizes with varying marketing budgets, however, charities often find it difficult to spread their positive messages with little to no budget at all and rely on volunteers to run social media pages or build websites that often don’t fit the bill. We wanted to change that and this year we have completed our first complimentary website for Halstead Community Shed.”
Halstead Community Shed aims to tackle the impact of loneliness and isolation on mental health and wellbeing. The “shed” itself is designed as a place to pursue practical interests at leisure, practice skills and enjoy the art of making and mending. Targeting those of a retirement age, the community shed offers a space to meet like-minded people to share worries with, share skills, knowledge and develop a renewed sense of purpose and belonging.
Kevin Pryke, a member of the Halstead Community Shed trust said: “The Trust are extremely happy with the website designed by activ. They took the time to listen to our requirements to create the perfect website to meet our needs. It is visually appealing, clean and easy to navigate, whilst also promoting the aims of the Trust clearly. It was a pleasure working with the team at activ, who offered help and support all the way.”
The website is the initial step for the charity to increase their local awareness, gain new memberships, maintain contact with existing members and crucially accept online donations.
